What is the case about?

For Liverpool FC supporters, narrowly losing the Champions League Final on 28 May 2022 was truly devastating, but nothing could compare to the horrific scenes taking place off the pitch, in and around the ground.

Countless reports and eye-witness accounts have been provided by Liverpool fans, Real Madrid fans, and other attendees present at Stade de France, which detail and corroborate the distressing events which took place. Incidents such as:
– The tear gassing of supporters, some of whom were women and children.
– Supporters having their personal belongings stolen, including tickets for the game which were allegedly then being sold on.
– The sexual victimisation or abuse of supporters.
– Individuals in and around the stadium assaulting supporters as they made their way back to their coaches and trains.
– Mass congestion in and around the stadium, which not only prevented supporters from entering the stadium but also caused physical injury to many.

Since the final, French officials and UEFA alike have sought to evade liability for the events which took place.

UCLF22: UEFA Champions League Final Independent Review

The UEFA Champions League Final Report (released in February 2023) confirmed that UEFA bears primary responsibility for the many failures that transpired on that devastating day.

The report is decisive in its findings that no blame could be attached to the Liverpool fans for the events that happened that day.

It instead finds that a primary factor in the event being a “near miss” rather than a stadium tragedy, was due to the capacity of the Liverpool supporters.

The report concludes that UEFA has still failed to fully acknowledge its responsibility for the horrific events that occurred that day.

Despite a brief apology, UEFA have done nothing to provide redress for the victims or to bring in reforms that will ensure such events never happen again.

The amount that could be won is dependent on a number of factors, but we are aiming to achieve at least the price of your ticket to the match.

This claim is being litigated on a No-Win, No-Fee basis, which means that signing up is free. If we are not successful in recovering compensation for you, we will cover all legal costs and you will not pay a penny.
